What Papa Pals say

Being a Papa Pal has allowed me to have flexibility in my schedule and meet wonderful people who keep me motivated and inspired. The members rely on me, and the relationships we have formed mean so much.

Michelle

I meet Medicaid members who lack the most basic needs—food, housing, transportation—and I help them access health care and community services. These members often have no family or loved ones to be there for them and only have me. The smiles when they see me make being a Papa Pal worth it.

Sarah

So many seniors are lonely and I am here to help them feel heard and loved. When I build healthy relationships with Papa members, I help them overcome their feelings of loneliness, and they give me the joy of human connection.

MaryAnn

The companionship we offer not only allows the members to feel good and appreciated, but I also feel good knowing I am making a difference in their lives. I do the things for them that they cannot—errands, organizing, cooking—while we talk, spend time, and strengthen our social bond.
